A few photographs of your parts -- including close ups of any damage / dings / dents / chipped fins / etc. -- are extremely helpful and allow me to give you the most accurate estimate possible in advance of inspecting the parts personally.
This way, neither of us will have any surprises!

Generally speaking, the cleaner the part is when it arrives here and the less prep work we have to do, the cheaper your final powder coating bill will be.
We charge $40.00 per hour regardless of the nature of the work required. ** You will be billed in as little as 3-minute increments depending on the task. PSC does not have "flat rates" for anything. You are charged for time spent actually fondling your metal, nothing more and nothing less.
** Excessive cleaning / blasting is billed at $80.00 per hour
** Fabrication / welding is billed at $90.00 per hour
Your final price will be based on these factors:
1. condition
2. cleanliness
3. the number of color(s) you choose
4. repairs and bodywork that may be needed
5. the amount of custom masking / unmasking involved
6. materials costs
and (rarely) 7. other unforeseen factors.
(Some damage is not readily apparent until the existing paint / finish has been removed.)
Although careful deburring and casting defect cleanup is always performed on every part (unless we are otherwise instructed), no major metal repairs are undertaken without the customer's prior approval and authorization.
Some metals, such as factory chrome and polished aluminum, can be powder coated as is within certain limitations.
Any part can also be coated with a clear powder for added durability and great shine for a slight additional charge.
Custom masking -- to set off factory insignia, logos, emblems, etc. -- is quoted individually.
NO HIDDEN CHARGES!!!
You won't be surprised by a bill for 37 inches of high temp masking tape, "rental" of seven silicone plugs, etc., like some other shops with seemingly cheap prices. Everything needed to do your job from start to finish will be taken into consideration to the best of our ability when estimating your cost. We charge extra for cleaning parts that show up filthy, welding, and fabrication ... and that's it.
We occasionally take on select buffing / polishing jobs.

to compile a firm Price List and be fair to everyone.

Our services are quoted on an individual basis with a tailored estimate based on your needs and desires.

COLOR MATCHING
If you want to match an existing color, providing a small actual paint sample applied to the same type of metal you are restoring (steel, aluminum, etc.) is the best, most accurate way to match it.
We've received small cans of paint, small parts painted the 'right' color, over-sprayed rubber and plastic body plugs, a "perfect match" box cutter, and even little pieces of label from the paint can where a drip ran down the side. We're not particular about what you send us for color matching ... we just want you to be happy with your powder color choices, save you as much money as possible, and get your finished parts back home to you as quickly as we can.
We can mail you free color swatches of your choice and a few other similar swatches to help you track down the right color for your parts. See the work samples in our Gallery to find something suitable as a starting point. With over 6,500 colors to choose from, chances are very good that your exact desired color is already available. However, if it's not, our powder supplier can prepare a custom formulation for you at a very affordable cost. (Please call for details.)
If your parts are to be coated in a special order powder that we do not normally carry in stock at the shop, all special order powder costs MUST BE PAID FOR IN ADVANCE before we will order your powder.

Parts will not be returned until all funds have cleared our bank.
If you are not using paypal, please include a check or U.S. Postal Service money order inside the box with your parts for at least half of the amount of your quote, plus the funds necessary to ship your parts back to you when they are finished.
If you do not know how much it will cost to ship your parts, you can easily find detailed shipping quotes online. (Links to these and other shippers can be found a little further down on this page -- shown in no particular order and with no affiliation with PSC -- solely for your convenience.) If you are unable to get a shipping quote ahead of time, just add $20 to the amount of your check and you will be notified of any difference when your parts are finished.
In order to earn your confidence as a new customer, we will begin your work if you include at least half of the quote amount with the parts, billing you for the remainder and all return shipping charges when your parts are finished. However, parts will not be returned until all charges are paid and the funds have cleared our bank.
If you have your own shipping account through UPS, FedEx, etc., just let us know ahead of time and we will bill your return shipping charges directly to your account via Third Party Billing. We will contact you for the shipping account number when your parts are ready to be returned to you.

This rare one-year production model 1971 Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner assembly was sadly abandoned by a non-paying customer so I sold it to satisfy his bill. It was the first time I ever had to do so, and it wasn't the last.
Please include a deposit or full payment so this does not happen to YOU!
MISCELLANEOUS
Please make sure the box you choose to ship your parts is large enough to return them in! We use LOTS of packing materials to protect your masterpiece for its return home.
Please be certain your chosen box is at least 3 inches larger on all sides than the part(s) you're shipping to allow for sufficient return packaging. Fill up ALL empty space with packing materials / peanuts / paper / shreds / plastic grocery bags / etc. to protect your parts during shipment. Pick up and shake your box; if you hear or feel anything moving, it needs more cushioning or it will probably get damaged in shipment. (See the FAQ for more handy shipping tips!)
We're out in the sticks and don't have the luxury of a store on every corner ... time spent searching the Dollar General's stash for a bigger box is billable to you, delays your shipment, and could be better served in the shop coating the next customer's parts.
